I’d love to see what this OS looks like in five, maybe ten years but at $450 right now, I can’t imagine why anyone would take this over a tablet or even a good netbook.

Netbooks… do those even exist anymore?

Let me just say that I have absolutely no problems with the Nokia Lumia or Windows Phone. I think they’re really neat, pretty and surprisingly responsive phones and I hope to see this partnership flourish one day, saving both Microsoft’s mobile strategy and Nokia as a whole.
I went to the Microsoft Store the other day to play with the Nokia Lumia line for a bit and was overall very impressed with how the underpowered hardware handled Microsoft’s OS. The animations especially were a welcome departure from the now boring offerings from Google and Apple and the phone itself was solid enough to cast absolutely no doubt in my mind that it could indeed hammer a nail into a 2x4 with relative ease. But as I scrutinized the device some more, something began to catch my eye. As I stared into the screen a bit more, it became glaring. Impossible to miss.
Anyway, I’m late for stuff. I’ll just leave these pics here and see if you can spot the problem yourself.

Speaking of the stock market…

On the many occasions when Zuck and Co. reach “a new low” it’s usually to their benefit.

Also, HA! HAHA!

This will either be the best or the most ignorable news you’ve heard all day. I’m obviously in the former camp.

Now excuse me while I unplug a few things…

Kind of a big deal here for Nest. Just look at what Apple retail availability did for Square. I would not have gone out of my way to order either of these online but if this deal goes through, I’ll probably own both.

Well, the trial that was pegged as the possible end to Android has ended. And Oracle comes out looking the fool.

Corey and Fredo wait for Victor Logan to appear, speculate about his podcasting future, and refresh their favorite subjects: Nintendo, Windows 8, 7 inch tablets, and Mixed Martial Arts.

Last :25 minutes is completely devoted to MMA, so I if you have no interest on the subject you should stop at the :50 mark.
